]]>Alright y'all, we know it's been a while, but we wanted to bring back our Ladies we Love series! First up for this go round is our top brand ambassador and running extraordinaire Robin @runrobinrun1 on the gram :)
We sent her our list of questions to answer so you can all get to know her a little better.
1. Okay, first things first! Please tell us how you got into running.
My dad is a runner, so he's the reason why I started!
2. What marathons have you ran? Which one is your greatest accomplishment?
-NYC Marathon, Chicago Marathon, Mesa Marathon, Indianapolis Marathon, Dallas Marathon 4x, Fort Worth Marathon. Indy is my greatest accomplishment since I qualified for the Boston Marathon.
3. How do you balance being a mom to two boys, a running hobby, and a full time job? Great question. It's not easy. Still trying to figure out how to balance it all perfectly. Family, running and work are priorities so I've had to let go of some things to make time for these three things that spark the most joy in my life. Also, I've learned how to ask for help more because it's impossible to do all of this on my own.
4. What goes into training for a triathlon? What foods were you able to eat before and after? Training looks different for everyone depending on their goal and time they have to commit to training. Thankfully, I have a coach that tells me what to do and when to do my workouts. Nutrition is so different for everyone, too. Depending on the type of work out I'm doing and the duration of it, that factors into what I'll eat before and after. A combo of high carbs, some protein and low fiber food usually works best for me.
5. What music are you listening to right now? Or what do you listen to when you are training?
Usher, EDM music and Muse.
6. What is your most favorite trend of Winter? Least favorite?
I'm digging the matching sweatsuits. Reminds me of my granny. She lived in matching sweatsuits.
7. What do you hope trends for Spring look like?
Comfy, neutrals, less cropped tops and keep all things high waisted.
8. Who is your fashion icon?
Jen Reed. She's an influencer, not an icon-but I love her style and look to her for outfit inspo.
9. What decade of fashion would you say is your favorite? 70's!
10. What shops (besides us of course)/brands are your favorite?
Madewell, Vuori and Outdoor Voices
11. What is your favorite place to vacation?
New York City
12. What are you currently reading? Who Moved My Cheese
Bonus Question!
What is a random fact about yourself that wouldn’t be on a resume? Like maybe a hidden talent? Or just anything you would like to add about your business!
Random fact-I used to have a perm.
Thank you Robin for being so amazing!

]]>We sent Christina Trimble of Styled by CBT a few questions to answer, and here's what she had to say!
I have always loved clothes and style. And I have always loved creating relationships with people. My business gives me the opportunity to use my love of clothes to help women (and men!) create wardrobes they feel confident in. I have officially been in business since September of 2021, but have been helping friends and family select clothing for years. I have some close friends and my husband to thank for pushing me to create Styled by CBT and I am so grateful for the opportunities I have been given through this little business.
It really depends on what the client is looking for. Some have certain events they want an outfit for, some need their whole closet sorted and added to, and some have me shop for them on a regular basis and bring the clothing to their homes for a personal styling session. I have also been able to help women outside of the Houston area by offering virtual stylings, where I create a ‘wardrobe’ of photos that they can shop at their own pace and refresh their wardrobe.
Most are okay getting rid of items that don’t fit, are worn out/damaged or haven’t been worn in the last year. I encourage them to use that check-list to determine whether or not it stays in their closet. I think so many people hang on to clothing that isn’t working for them in their current season of life, saving it for when it fits/when they have a specific event, and most of the time those clothes will never actually be worn. They also don’t allow you to have space for things that fit and you feel good in!
No day looks the same! Being a wife and mom are my top priority, so my business comes second to that busy job. However, this business has given me a creative outlet that I have always wanted and thanks to some amazing babysitters I am able to work with my clients. Late night work also happens after my babies are down!
I am a HUGE fan of dresses, so I love that they are acceptable for pretty much any occasion these days. And they all have such fun details - big sleeves, cutouts, fun prints. Plus, they can be worn with any shoes in your closet! A dress and sneakers is my go-to outfit. My least favorite trend this summer has to be small frame sunglasses. I have always worn larger shades and I just can’t get behind the smaller ones!
Casual and simple. Sweaters, great jeans, full skirts and simple boots. And of course some great sneakers!
I have always loved following the fashion of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. While their wardrobes don’t include things I wear day to day, I love seeing how they dress. What colors they’re wearing, how they style themselves for different occasions and the hats - I can’t get enough of that fun accessory!
I think I would say the 1960’s. I love that women’s styles became a little more casual and easy going. The shift dresses, slim fit pants with flats, fun patterns and a sense of freedom mark a shift for women in fashion. They started wearing what was more comfortable and had fun with it! I love that, and love seeing these styles in stores today.
Shopbop, Nordstrom, J Crew, Madewell, & other stores, Mango, Zara, Target.
I shop a lot for clients so I get to see a lot of what is available. These stores always have something for me to include in my stylings!
ALWAYS a beach. It doesn’t matter where it is!
Bonus Question!
What is a random fact about yourself that wouldn’t be on a resume? Like maybe a hidden talent? Or just anything you would like to add about your business!
I have been to 5 of the 7 continents. Hoping to check them all off my list!

I’ve been in marketing and business development for 17 years. After working in-house for 13 years for various companies, I went out on my own as a consultant and started 30|90 Marketing. I work with all types of client companies now, and I LOVE what I do! No two days are ever the same and I get to help a wide selection of business owners enhance their business opportunities and marketing plans.
Running a business is hard. Finding good people, keeping up with finances, always being a salesperson and representative for your brand, planning for the future… it can be overwhelming. I see large and small organizations struggling with very similar challenges. From a marketing perspective we are always trying to solve the puzzle: What do we offer better than anyone else? How do we communicate that message most effectively? What’s the best media to foster authentic connection?
Be true to yourself and your brand. Show your personality and highlight what makes your brand special. Also – consistency is key!
Depends on the day! Sometimes I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Other days I’m calm, cool, and collected. We have a very active household with four children, rental property, and some side projects that I’m working on in addition to my day job. But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. My husband is hugely supportive and my parents help a lot. I live and die by my calendar and have learned to be gracious to myself with my time management. This means I plan my week in chunks that are most effective for my work life (writing time, invoicing time, working with clients, kid duties, etc.) I also start working early around 7 am most days so that I can capitalize on my morning energy! I love the flexibility of my lifestyle: I work a TON but I do it within my own structure and schedule.
My most favorite trend is probably the rise of the jorts! I always did love jean shorts. Least fave is the super flowy/tiered look because it’s just not flattering on me.
When I grow up, I want to be J Lo (but that’s probably more to do with athleticism and talent!)
10. What decade of fashion would you say is your favorite? I loved seeing the wardrobing from the 1920s in Downton Abbey! But realistically – my heart is probably stuck somewhere in the late 90s!
11. What shops/brands are your favorite? I like to shop local when I can, and I really like to try clothes on. It’s the thrill of the find for me and less about the brand. I’ve found some great finds in the boutiques on the Northshore and on Metairie Road. I also order from Lulus, Pink Lilly, and whatever else I can find.
Bonus Question!
What is a random fact about yourself that wouldn’t be on a resume? Like maybe a hidden talent? Or just anything you would like to add about your business!
My business is deeply personal to me. I love it like a family member, and I love working with all types of businesses to grow, expand, and follow their aspirations.
My hidden talent might be that I love to dance and still dance around the kitchen with my kids all the time. I taught dance class until last year and loved it so much. My dance career had to slow down because our afternoon schedules with our kids got to be too much, but I do hope I can return at some point. Not many (almost) 40 year olds can still do a toe touch 😊
